In the novel I Hunt Killers the main point of the story is that Jasper Dent is trying to prove that he us not a serial killer like his father by helping out with the murder of Jane Doe. However, while trying to solve this case he starts convincing people and himself that he might actually turn out to be just like his father. Jasper's fathers voice in his head and killer instincts cause him to almost do horrible things, like strangle a women.
In the book Invisible Man the main character is faced with the common fact about others of his race not being smart when the narrator is incredibly smart and is forced to do things that don't require the intellect he has
